Meet Amanda Zacchilli - Coach, Personal Trainer, Mobility and Corrective Exercise Specialist, CSM at RxFitness

About Me

Always an avid runner, Amanda came to RxFitness looking for something different. Always the competitor, not just with others but with herself, she embraced the group classes as a place “to toss out energy and clear the mind.” The fun and variety of the movement patterns continued to challenge her, feeding her desire for continual improvement. Three years into being a part of RxFitness as a member her urge to help others improve and grow kept tugging at her. She began to study on her own and in 2021 she joined the staff as a coach. She currently runs the kids program, coaches adult classes and works individually with clients on mobility with the goal of helping awesome people live healthier, happier and higher quality lives! When not spending time in the gym you will find her immersed in family life with her husband and two kids.

My Coaching Style & Philosophy

Let’s look at the whole body! One area that is giving a person some feedback, might be a symptom of something else going on. I love to work with clients to learn about their individual needs and provide tools that can be used to address solutions to concerns that their body is giving.

My Journey & Overcoming Challenges

A [former] marathoner with a forefoot strike. Those mechanics are not ideal for patterns that are repeated mile after mile after mile. Eventually, those poor mechanics caught up to me, and led to achilles concerns and the eventual end to my marathon participation. Although my marathon miles ended there, I found a new perspective and passion for health and fitness in a different way!

So I know exactly how it feels when a person is unable to do whatever it is they once could, or always wanted to do. I can empathise with clients of their concerns and help them understand the value and importance of moving well.

Special Focus Areas

Mobility restrictions, returning from injury, corrective exercise, pain reduction, weightlifting, gymnastics, kids fitness

Member Impact

A client came to RxFitness with lower back and hip related concerns. The feedback his body gave him prevented him from being comfortable throughout his work day, and participating in his favorite hobby, cycling. After learning more about his daily movement patterns, analyzing how his body moves and learning more about his hobby, we were able to reduce the pain to almost nothing. Now, I get to watch him succeed with new strength and fitness related goals in addition to staying strong and active in his cycling career.
