About Me
As co-owner and coach at RxFitness, my approach goes beyond the hour in the gym. I help people look at the whole picture—sleep, nutrition, stress, and daily habits—because lasting change comes from what happens in the other 23 hours of the day.
My own turning point came in 2011, when I was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis. What felt like a setback became motivation to focus on what I could control, one day at a time. That perspective shapes how I coach: helping clients stay grounded in small, consistent steps that build strength, health, and confidence.
Over the years, I’ve worked with athletes, complete beginners, and everyone in between. One of my proudest moments was seeing a client who once struggled to get off the floor stand up unassisted after months of steady effort—a reminder that progress is worth the patience.
RxFitness has been part of my story from the beginning, and since 2018 Marielle and I have carried its vision forward together. Her expertise in nursing and functional medicine pairs with my passion for coaching to create a community that values health in every dimension.
When I’m not in the gym, you’ll usually find me hiking the White Mountains, bouldering, vacationing with Marielle, or cheering on our three kids in their sports and arts. And for fun—I once had lead roles in two high school plays.
My Coaching Style & Philosophy
Looking at the whole picture of the client starting with their fitness needs but helping him or her also understand how to pay attention and prioritize the 23 other hours outside of our training session - from sleep to nutrition to managing stress.
My Journey & Overcoming Challenges
In 2011, I was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis. At the time I was doing, what I thought, was everything to prevent disease with exercise and nutrition. The news hit me like a ton of bricks and initially I asked, “What the point of putting in any work if this is the kind of news I’m going to receive?” But then, after a great conversation with a friend, my perspective changed. I starting digging in with how to continue to control what I can control - my health and fitness…today, at this moment.
Special Focus Areas
I have a wide variety of clients from sport specific training to those that have never stepped foot in a gym and many in between. A strength of mine is adapting well to the client I am serving and their specific goals.
Member Impact
One client came to me on a recommendation from their doctor. They had a long, successful career but had not prioritized their health. Getting up off the floor without support was extremely challenging. After a year of working with them (yes, strength does take time!) they could go from a kneeling position to standing without any support!

Why I Love Coaching at RxFitness
I’ve been here since the beginning! I have grown with so many of the members in our perspective on health and fitness. We have certainly shifted and evolved with methods but seeing so many grow with use is pretty awesome. Furthermore, this community doesn’t function without the staff I have that is committed to the vision of RxFitness and Health. I couldn’t do this without them.
